Narrative

I'm an artist, technologist, and educator based in Cincinnati. I make interactive installations, sound systems, and learning environments — things designed for people to participate in, not just look at.

Through Intermedio, I co-developed installations and performances using custom electronics, responsive media, and a lot of trial and error. Years of museum prep work taught me how things actually get built and installed — the unglamorous side that makes the glamorous side possible.

Now I teach and manage IT at Leaves of Learning, where the studio practice and the classroom practice feed each other. I use technology as a creative tool in the classroom, and the classroom keeps me honest about what actually works.

Core Values

  • Make things people participate in, not just look at.
  • Use technology to help people do more, not think less.
  • Show your work. The messy version is more honest than the polished one.
  • Being a generalist isn't a compromise — it's the whole point.

Working Approach

I start every project by asking what people will actually do with it, then figure out the technology from there. Tools serve the idea, not the other way around. Same goes for AI — I use it to move faster, but the decisions are still mine.
